Many small lights ..!

Some time ago I came across, wandering the world on Google Earth, in the image on the left!
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeella, no? But what's that? :-P I only knew that I was in Japan, long one of the rivers of Hiroshima.
I was not even aware of this particular rite, and then I studied it, looking for more information .. no I have not gone and forgotten in obscure libraries in Barcelona zafoniana style ... of course I opted for a further search on the same network ! The best explanation I had from this excerpt:
"Every year, August 6, the seven rivers in Hiroshima are filled with lanterns. Each bears the name of a dear lost because of the bomb. ... The lanterns lit form as rivers of fire and float throughout Hiroshima. The current carrying the bodies, now bears the lanterns out to sea, slowly. (from: The flash of Hiroshima - Perosini Ed.) This book I have not read it yet but will probably buy it!

It is therefore an occurrence which takes place Hiroshima along with his (seven) rivers every August 6 to commemorate the victims of atomic power. It is not clear from the low-resolution photos .. but in the bottom right, you can see the composure of many people who leave their lantern in the River.
Elsewhere I read that, in addition to the name, you can park inside the small prayer or just thoughts. Of course, we, of this event due to this tragedy if they talk less than ever. Yet, I find the most beautiful (and silent) form of manifestation I've ever seen. Pain that flourishes in hope, in a unison that, when not inconsistent, it can lead to beautiful forms of demonstration of emotions!
